Dark Fury (2004)
This story opens with the new action hero and the two other survivors of Pitch Black already caught by a giant spaceship filled with dread. The sinewy leader has a unique--and creepy--jail for master villains and she has her sights set on Riddick. And Jack as they cross paths with a ship of body hunters and are brought on board. The captain of the ship, Chillingsworth has an interesting hobby - she captures wanted criminals and makes living statues of them.

The short film reveals why Jack (Kyra), was mad with Riddick for leaving her; as mentioned by Imam in The Chronicles of Riddick (2004). After Jack shoots and kills Antonia Chillingsworth, Imam expresses his concern with Riddick that Jack will become a cold-blooded killer like Riddick. Riddick decides to drop off both Jack and Imam and Helion Prime and retire himself to the UV system on Planet 6.
Introduces the character of 'Toombs,' a bounty hunter voiced by Nick Chinlund, who plays the character in person in The Chronicles of Riddick (2004).
The purpose of the short film was to bridge the five-year gap between Pitch Black (2000) and The Chronicles of Riddick (2004).
Rhiana Griffith returned to provide the voice of Jack. But did not return for The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), and the role was recast with Alexa Davalos.
It turns out the Kublai-Khan is not the only mercenary ship Riddick has been aboard. In the 2009 video game The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (2009) which is a prequel to Pitch Black (2000), Riddick and Johns awake from suspended animation, only to find themselves aboard the gigantic mercenary vessel Dark Athena commanded by Gale Revas.
