Red 2 (2013)
Retired C.I.A. Agent Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) is in love with Sarah Ross (Mary-Louise Parker) and enjoying their normal life. Out of the blue, Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich) meets Frank in the supermarket and tells that Wikileaks has released the information that they had participated and know the whereabouts of the Nightshade, a portable nuclear weapon that was smuggled in pieces and hidden in Russia. Now the top agents in the world are under contract to seek them out to discover where Nightshade is. The trio travels to Paris and teams-up with the Russian Katja (Catherine Zeta-Jones) to track down the former Russian Agent "The Frog" (David Thewlis) to get more information about the operation. They learn that the brilliant inventor Dr. Edward Bailey (Sir Anthony Hopkins) might know where the weapon is. They discover that Bailey has been interned in an asylum in London by the MI6 for thirty-two years and the British Victoria (Dame Helen Mirren) joins the team. They rescue Bailey and find that the nuclear device is hidden in the Kremlin. Soon, the dangerous South Korean Han Cho Bai (Lee Byung-hun) joins the group expecting to retrieve the weapon. But dangerous killer Jack Horton (Neal McDonough) is hunting Frank down and will not stop until he recovers the nuclear bomb.
The best never rest.
Frank: What are you doing kissing this guy?
Sarah: Well, I didn't wanna kill him.
Frank: Well, what kinda stupid logic is that?

After the success of RED (2010), Ernest Borgnine hoped he'd be around to reprise his role as Henry the records keeper in a sequel. When interviewed in April 2012, he mentioned there was talk about it over the years and made one request to the producers; "I told them if they do it, I want to carry a gun this time." He kept in touch with screenwriters Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber and would have had a major role in an early scene. When Borgnine passed away in July 2012, three months prior to the start of production, his scenes were re-written and featured an uncredited Titus Welliver.
The father in the childhood photo of Han Cho Bai (Lee Byung-hun) is Lee's real father.
The diplomatic vehicle number plates, while only props, are designed to look authentic. The first three numbers on a U.K. diplomatic plate tell you which country to which it belongs. 182 is assigned to Iran.
Due to strict U.K. gun laws, producers couldn't import the higher caliber guns they desired.
Frank (Bruce Willis) and Marvin (John Malkovich) pursue The Frog (David Thewlis) using expensive wine as bait due to The Frog's affinity for fine wines. Malkovich is a wine connoisseur who markets wine under his own label from his estate in France.
Continuity
When Sarah is begging the Frog to talk (where she kisses him), his glasses are alternatively on his face or folded in her hands between different shots.
Dr. Bailey departs in Han's Challenger: a mid-size, twin engine business aircraft. However when the scene changes to inside the cockpit, the glare shield, avionics panel, throttle quadrant, and overhead panel are that of a Boeing 747-400: a heavy, four engine transport category aircraft. The two aircraft couldn't be more different.
When the guards surround Frank, Sarah, and Marvin in the Paris hotel, Katja can be seen with the guards before she walks around the corner after the guards have stopped moving.
When in Papa Johns, Marvin is shown (from inside the restroom) using a sledge hammer and wearing a baseball style cap but, when the view changes from inside the wall to looking into the bathroom, Marvin can be seen wearing safety goggles and no hat.
In the Paris hotel scene, an obelisk on the right hand side of mantelpiece changes position in various shots.
