Last film of director Norman Taurog.

Elvis Presley's father, Vernon Presley, is a model for one of the photo shoots in the film.

Elvis Presley actually drove the beach buggy for most of the high-speed opening scene.

While filming on location in Los Angeles, Elvis was knocked to the ground by several old women in an attempt to get Rudy Vallee's autograph.

This has often been cited as being Elvis Presley's only adult themed film, but this isn't completely accurate. His film Stay Away, Joe (1968) which was released earlier in the same year, had several adult themes to it, including language, strong violence, alcohol use, and implied nudity from several girls.

Continuity

At 35 minutes in, Elvis visits the offices of Classic Cat Magazine. Signage on the wall reading "Classic Cat / A Landsdown Enterprise" appears next to a sexy illustration of a bosomy model. The next shot is from Elvis's perspective, and now additional lettering appears out of nowhere: "CLASSIC CAT MAGAZINE" in block letters. Then it's back to the original perspective, and the lettering has disappeared.

At the end of the opening credits Elvis has reached the beach house of Bernice. She looks at him through her telescope which is pointed off to her right at about a 45? angle. But the view through her scope is if she were looking off to her left, at least 90? in the other direction.
