HALO Nightfall (2014)
Halo: Nightfall tells the personal story of Jameson Locke, a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Earth s most powerful and secretive military branch. He and his team are investigating terrorist chatter on the distant colony world of Sedra, when they are caught in a horrific biological attack. Led by Locke, ONI agents are forced to coordinate with Randall Aiken, a local commander with a remarkable history and deep-rooted mistrust of ONI. As they unravel a plot that draws them to an ancient, hellish artifact, they will be forced to fight for their survival, question everything, and ultimately choose between their loyalties and their lives.
Survival is a choice.

Released as part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One.
Most of the film was shot on location in Iceland. The actors had to pretend they were in a very hot environment of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit despite the fact that they were actually filming in sub-zero temperatures. The weather was so taxing that cast members passing out was an everyday occurrence, and the cast and crew took friendly bets on who would pass out first (the bets were made to keep morale high).
This was only shown on the Halo Channel when it was first released, but has since been rereleased on Blu-Ray Disc and broadcast on Showtime.
Had a budget of $10 million, an increase of approximately $1.5 million over Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn (2012), which had a budget of approximately $8.5 million.
This is the second live-action series of the Halo universe, following Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn.
